@RosaCtrl it's very clear to see how king invokes the crucifixion as analogy to nonviolent resistance. there are many very good analyses and criticisms of nonviolence including but not limited to the arguments advocating for violent resistance. i don't believe resistance should be analyzed on a violent/nonviolent dichotomy—dr. king speaks to that for a minute in his letter. he also expounds at length on the necessity of rejecting ("breaking") unjust laws and describes at length how to identify an unjust law. you'll note by the way that this is an example of a legal argument
