@TomBabin I agree with everyone saying it was a cheap way to add comfort and compliance. From what I found, many new consumers to the e-bike market get sold on the marketing pitch that with the motor and tires combined, the bikes are "multi-terrain", hoping to expand the demographic for both people riding the bikes for commuting but also people riding them for leisure that would think high speeds on grass/dirt/sand is a fun investment.
