@0xabad1dea I guess I can sort of understand why people latched onto "ombudsman", but I have no ideas why anglophones insist on saying "smörgåsbord" when they are so bad at saying it. Just call it a buffet, the distinction isn't gonna matter for most metaphorical uses anyhow. I do love that one era after "smörgåsbord" became the established term in english but before anyone cared enough to even try pronouncing it right and they just kept calling it a 'smorgy'.
