@jik It's worth remembering that Signal Messenger is not designed to help us get away with crime. I see its key purpose being to force law enforcement to follow the law, and get warrants before searching property. Secondarily it also inhibits the surveillance abilities of filthy corporations who don't deserve to have data about us. I don't condone Apple's design choice here to keep notifications forever, but anyone who thinks Apple has our interests in mind are cult followers.
