seriously one of the most incredulous things is learning not just the philosophy but the neuropsychology around the idea that love defeats hate, compassion conquers pain.
hate and pain addle the brain.
they literally impair one’s cognition.
those who choose to inflict pain can’t visualize anything other than pain centred actions. ironically, by discarding pain tactics, one is free to move in ways adversaries can’t. it’s cool. :)
