My framing of #derad focuses on pain & agency rather than good, evil, or the many masks pain wears.
Fear, hate, bigotry, shame, all are masks worn by pain.
It’s a step away from the moralistic & ineffable and closer to the physical & tangible.
We all know pain. We all know pain sucks.
We mostly know that pain is a damned good liar with amazing marketing.
Not as many know that pain is also unintelligent, unimaginative, boring and predictable.
