@cstross@wandering.shop @StefanThinks@beige.party @quixoticgeek@social.v.st It only keeps working because enough state/commonwealth revenues are predicated on federal grants and so much of county and municipal revenues come from state funding and grants which sometimes but not always align with need untied to local net worth
