HeliBoard: For anyone else who’s become so adapted to it that they really want searchable emoji in it, here goes the only slightly circuitous way to do so: Just go into its settings search for “suggest emoji” and tick it on, it’ll transfer you to where to download “emoji_en.dict”, install it, and you’ll be able to type a colon immediately followed by descriptions of the emoji (e.g. “:fear”, “:shrug”, “:shit") and have the autosuggest field populate with associated suggestions. Edit: Sometimes it’s slightly glitchy and the autosuggest keeps suggesting emoji after you’ve moved on to just typing regular words, but it’ll eventually catch up and switch back to the right dictionary.
