Five years ago I realized my daughters might never know I was a cartoonist.

They were 5 and 3, it was the pandemic, I hadn't made a comic in ten years. It felt strangely important that they knew their dad once made goofy drawings.

So I started making goofy drawings again.

And today, I launched a Kickstarter for a fancy book collecting 301 of my @rooniecomics@comics.town comics. Cute animals, big feelings, for all the flawed people out there.

What if the #Apple headset isn’t pitched as a VR/AR headset so much as a new display? A way to add additional displays to your setup. Niche, to be sure, but niche to high-end users who can afford a large price tag. It would also lessen the need to make it super portable, as the thing would be meant to be used alongside your computer. Also would make sense why it drops at WWDC. It’s a companion for a Mac Pro. Not an average consumer device.

What would make me actually upgrade my 12.9" M1 #iPad Pro?

Especially considering I somewhat regret upgrading to the M1 from my 2018 12.9" Pro.

I don't care about more power from the chip. I don't care (much) about changes in design.

Larger screen? Maybe. Landscape (and higher res) front-facing camera? Maybe. New Apple Pencil 3 features like an action button and turn to erase? Maybe. OLED screen? Maybe. Thinner bezels? Maybe.

None of these by themselves would push me to consider it. But if all these things were COMBINED, along with features like hover from the M2 that I don't have?

Annoyingly, that would get me thinking.

@josephgruber@josephgruber.space I did in fact drag the kids out into the middle of nowhere in New Jersey and yes, saw no auroras, borealis or otherwise. But we did see way more stars than we do normally, and def caught some shooting stars, so overall worth it. Good to know it wouldn’t be naked eye visible even in the best conditions where I am.
