@JimmyB A greenhouse would be nice but for lack of space in the garden and if it were at the plot then lashed and well anchored to the ground because it can get windy there.
Oh and a lack of funds to get one, hopefully we'll finally put a shed up at the plot this year

@JimmyB We have done that before and found that yes you can get chillis quicker than going for a fresh sowing
I'd still go for some fresh sowing - you can get more varieties going that way
Our bigest problem with them is a lack of windowsill space to get them going at the same time as everything else
