Modern conservatives who aren’t fascists are classical liberals.
how would they explain the hundreds of thousands of dead in the 19th century revoutions?

They might also believe that the UN resolution somehow only applies to imaginary villains from the DPRK developing nukes and laughing at people’s faces, rather than everyday people that do exist

If it doesn’t apply to you it isn’t talking about you. It’s about the “if Trump weren’t here we’d be in brunch” kinda people.

Besides what Cowbee said, the explicitly ML instance is Lemmygrad, and Hexbear is I believe broadly leftist, this instance is more generalist even if it does seem to be mostly commies here as well.
I’m not a fan of Putin but as long as the mainstream narrative frames everything around him as evil just because he goes against imperialism we’ll have to put things in context and push back or else we miss the chance to remind people of the primary contradiction.
If it truly isn’t about imperialism, then how come is everything bad about him okay to tolerate, ignore or even celebrate when the people doing it are compradors or imperialists?
If you have the awareness to understand where criticism of him comes from then participating in helping imperialism is dumb, and if you’re itching to help imperialism leftist-y you’re just the compatible left and you’ve been played.
We’ve seen empires tearing apart whole regions and butcher indigenous people and revolutionaries for so long at this point. Some of us know people who died in the last round of US backed regimes in the cold war. Some of us live in countries that were targeted even more recently than that by regime change operatives and the MIL. Let’s stop ceding the ground to liberals with the memory of a goldfish and no political literacy.

Besides what the other user said, this doesn’t really change my comment at all. The inner workings of reality don’t matter when you’re cold or hungry or when your bodily autonomy is violated. These problems are material, and so are the solutions.

My view is that we may not necessarily know or agree on reality itself or religion but we can agree on following a materialist analysis as it clearly has predictive power and people who suffer materially need a material solution

The issue is that the “criticisms” that people bring up aren’t reality, they’re propaganda. We can talk about real issues just fine, if/when you spend the time first learning how China really is, then we can actually have a productive discussion and treat you seriously. As it is we’re not gonna act as if disproven shit is real.

Liberalism can claim to stand for whatever, it’s still a fact that liberal governments participated in wars, invasions, regime change operations, economic warfare, genocide.
Liberalism obscures the systemic nature of problems by focusing on and promoting Individualist ideals. The reason liberalism is in crisis is that it doesn’t work, not that it’s not implemented correctly.

You do realize you’re using anecdotes to dismiss China, but don’t tolerate anecdotes that counter that? It’s almost like you already made up your mind.
Go and read sources, check how most Chinese people consider their government democratic according to western NGOs (so you can’t blame the government for bias/meddling), same as with Vietnam, and how low western liberal democracies score in the same reports. Check statistics of the insane material harm that Japan and western regimes did to these countries, and how they still recovered, how China lifted 800 million out of poverty, how their lives keep getting better day after day while most people in our countries infrastructure is crumbling down. Or how most Chinese people own their homes, while most of us can only hope to own a house if we come from wealth or got enough support and luck to end with a very well paid job (and a mortgage that we’ll pay for years to come).

Look into literally every war they supported, it’s always false pretenses. They instigated Kuwait to get in trouble with Iraq, then told Iraq they wouldn’t oppose them invading Kuwait, then after Iraq invaded the US media apparatus lied everywhere that Iraqis disconnected hundreds of babies from incubators, killing them.
Still with Iraq, they told the world that Saddam Hussein had WMDs, that they had to be stopped for the safety of all USAmericans. Even though the weapons inspectors said it was patently false. The US invaded, many European countries supported them. After a very painful invasion where it’s estimated between hundreds of thousands to a million Iraqis were murdered by the US and their allies (and many, many more when you count those who died from other factors caused by the invasion, such as lack of infrastructure, hospitals, food, etc), after all of this did they find WMDs? Take a guess.
The US told us that Gaddafi was using mass rape against his enemies, and people believed it until after they bombed Libyans to rubble. Turns out, they lied.
Amnesty International curiously enough lied as well, they echoed the claims about Kuwait babies killed by the Iraqi army and the mass rape by Gaddafi’s troops until after the US punished them severely. Then they went back on their word, because as it turns out they were lying. So if even organizations that occasionally do decent work can’t be trusted not to amplify imperialism, how can we trust those that are even worse?
Can you trust the same newspapers that have told us for years that no genocide is happening in Gaza? That we should condemn Hamas? That Israel has the most moral army? We saw with our own eyes what they did and still do to children in Gaza. And to this day BBC, NYT and others still frame Israel as victims of aggression, and the real victims as untrustworthy terrorists. We can’t trust a word about anything involving politics because even now they lie through framing, through omission.

You got it backwards, the US has been hell to the rest of the world for decades (and to their own indigenous population much longer than that). Modern Russia only exists because the US sabotaged and illegally destroyed the USSR, even though the people living in it voted for it to remain. Then they got Yeltsin elected by blasting propaganda and misinformation, and after their legislature didn’t want him to unilaterally destroy the country, he sent fucking tanks to it. All of this happened because of US meddling, that’s the “democracy” and “freedom” they brought to Russia and elsewhere.

The issue with their anti air defenses is that radars can be destroyed, and they were, so they can’t intercept the attacks easily anymore. Iran understood this and that’s why it prepared for an evacuation from the beginning. I’m unaware of radars being able to be underground and effective, considering the US radars were also very exposed (and subsequently bombed by Iran). If you know of tech that China could have deployed there for this specific use case then I’d love to learn more, I’m not a military expert by any means.
There was a lot of talk of Chinese weapons systems but all we’re seeing is Shaheds and Iranian domestic missiles.
Iran said they’re first using their older missiles, give them time and they’ll use the ones from China.
Looks like Capitalist international solidarity is far superior.
Capitalists won’t be held accountable while they’re the hegemon or vassals to the hegemon. I don’t wanna be overly optimistic, but that might change soon enough if they keep making irrational decisions like the current war against Iran.

What do you expect China to do? Enter the war? Iranian attacks wouldn’t be this effective without China, and China helped them get rid of Mossad operatives.

If someone can’t bother to read a single Parenti book, or even just listen to their comrades, I believe the main issue is a lack of motivation and commitment, not accessibility. No one expects you to read das Kapital before getting involved.
