@D66 Als ik een agendapunt mag voorstellen: zet als D66 je eigen instance op. Nu liften jullie gratis mee op het vrijwilligerswerk van de beheerders en admins van mastodon.social terwijl het voor jullie prima te doen is om zelf die inspanning te leveren. Daarnaast is het veel makkelijker om mensen te verifiëren: @partij@social.d66.nl is gegarandeerd het juiste account.

Gmail simply offered a killer feature (1 GB mailboxes!) that drew everyone to their platform and they've been harvesting metadata ever since. Same with Mastodon if Google were to run an instance: they can get data from the network, even from people who are not on their instance. Unlike email though, Google's instances can be banned off the network without much cost to the rest of the world
