Madame, Monsieur,

@TimFinnerty@toot.io Probably because they overestimated the military capabilities of Russia, Europe *and* the US have been too cautious in the ramping up of their military support to Ukraine.
Now, 3 years later, Europe is more willing than ever to support Ukraine, whereas "bone spurs" Trump's US is surrendering the country that they vowed to protect against its nuclear disarmament. (2/2)

@TimFinnerty@toot.io Your argument is not the strong one you think it is.
WWII started on 1/Sep/1939 and the US only entered the war after Pear Harbour on 7/Dec/1941, over 2 years later. In that period FDR managed to provide some military support to Europe in spite of an isolationist population. Is that any better?
In the last 3 years Europe has spent largely more than than the US to support Ukraine (not minimizing the importance of the US help though) and with the support of the population. (1/2)
