Never say "sorry" when "Thank you" can be used.
Ex:
Instead of saying "I'm sorry for being such a burden" say " thank you for your help. I really appreciate it"
Why? Because saying "thank you" focuses on celebrating the good they've done for you. While saying "sorry" takes the focus away from their help and puts it on your feelings of inadequacy.
