Can verify that these are quite effective at detecting AR glasses, and the settings can be modified to change the scope of detection type. Locally, we've used it to detect their use in some private spaces and asked the person politely to leave.

@nosfe I was immediately awestruck by this; I've never seen this while developing film in the past, regardless of the particulars of the emulsion chemistry.

(I used to do chemical film development once upon a time, this was about 26 years ago; & I still have a love affair with some aspects of chemistry, sooooo)

in my experience, reaching out to the authors of the paper; they're likely to get back to you. it may take a bit, but you're very likely to get a response. luck to you with the photos.
