So, some project did something bad. Do the FOSS users:
a) Talk about and promote cool alternatives to the project that did something bad
b) Try and provide help for people affected by the bad thing
c) Try and contribute and put effort into making the bad thing less bad
d) Explain that this bad thing doesn't actually mean doom for the whole project, and while it's not ideal, it's not the end of the world either
e) Go on long rants about how this is terrible and the end of the world, and how if a project does something they don't really like, that means it's not "actually FOSS" or whatever, despite that not really meaning much, all with no CW

I'm thinking about the time my mom tried to get me to make my own frozen burritos (which my mom then complained about the cost of), and crying. Like I'm not eating them because I like them, I'm eating them because they're within my energy budget and like the only food I can actually convince my parents to buy for me on a regular basis. And I don't even have the courage to tell my parents which kinds I actually like, because what if they get mad at me for wanting such low-class foods

A: I think probably the biggest cause of abusive and unhealthy kink or kink-like dynamics is doms not understanding that being a dom comes with extra responsibility. Are you making sure your sub's emotional needs are met if you're in a relationship? Are you sure they're consenting? Are you sure they're asking for what they want? Are you sure they'll actually be okay if you go as far as they say you want? Like, yes, subs do also need to learn to speak up for themselves a bit, but even if you're going to insist on only working with subs who are good at that, are you able to filter out those that aren't? There are certainly other ways you get abuse in kinky dynamics, subs who push limits with doms, doms who are actually just abusers hiding in the trappings of kink, bad communication, and all that, but I think irresponsible doms are the biggest concern

@rosey That's not really just because of the ram shortage, that's because DDR5 performs terribly if you populate all four slots, and the motherboard manufacturers insist on putting four slots on all their motherboards anyway
