while doing a large refactor i watched a squirrel run across a telephone line and felt we were not that different

watching my mother (age 60) use lichen.page to make a website for her book group via ai was really cool

this direct experience has made most mastodon discourse about llms dissatisfactory to me

after much mucking about, got the matrix database size down from 406GB to 60GB ... at once both pleased and annoyed that this was necessary at all
