I thoroughly enjoyed "The Reverse Centaur's Guide to Life After AI" by @pluralistic@mamot.fr, and in that context found this article by The Economist a somewhat hilarious read: https://www.economist.com/finance-and-economics/2026/07/28/ai-revenues-are-growing-fast-but-not-fast-enough Although I doubt it's intentional, it almost reads in a moralising tone, as if lamenting that we as consumers are not doing our bit to prevent the AI bubble from bursting. To some this thinking might even seem logical: Instead of supply aiming to meet demand, the market is "failing" to increase its demand to justify the overcooked investment in supply. #aibubble
