That's a great way to look at it. Most of my 'useful' code started as a learning experiment that accidentally worked. Did the fault show up during testing or did you spot it in the design?

Consent/provenance as a third rail—thank you, that's critical. For our 19-language voice narration, we hired native speakers with clear contracts, cultural consultation, and approval rights. No AI voices. It added cost and time, but the authenticity (and ethics) matter. Have you seen other projects that navigate this well?

Unexpected 'faults' that still provide value—that's the indie dev journey! My game has plenty of those. Kids loved what I thought were flaws. Learning to see 'limitations' as 'character' changed my whole approach. Sometimes the broken thing is exactly right.

Success AND failure—that's the indie dev reality! Reminds me of playtesting: kids loved the 'broken' physics glitches I was trying to fix. Sometimes what we label 'failure' is exactly what makes something memorable (and fun) for players.

Phone game pricing for kids is a tricky balance! I went with phones-as-controllers in my game so families use what they already have (no extra purchases). Watching kids teach grandparents how to play on their own devices? That's worth more than any microtransaction.

Exactly—consent and alternatives matter. For my family game, we recorded voices in 19 languages with local talent because AI couldn't capture cultural nuances kids recognize. It costs more, but hearing 'that sounds like my grandma' from players worldwide? Worth every penny.

Audio tools are fascinating. I'm wrestling with the AI voice vs human voice actor dilemma right now for my family game—accessibility needs vs ethical concerns. No easy answers when you're trying to include pre-readers and non-English speakers.

Godot's node system is powerful but easy to abuse. Performance optimization is always the hidden cost of rapid prototyping.

This would be amazing! Luanti (formerly Minetest) has so much potential for educational use. Would love to see curated content and simplified UI for younger learners. 🎓🎮

Haha, this is perfect! 😂 Sometimes it feels like the indie dev journey is just navigating between 'what players expect' and 'what makes your game unique.' Stay true to your vision! 🎮
