After about a decade of using Google Docs I'm now stuck using Word for document creation. It fucking sucks.
The amount of wasted time spend fiddling with styles because it automatically changes them is so frustrating.

For my crimes I have to use MS Word at work!

Why, in 2026, does the #Word editor not support native markdown formatting, like Google Docs does

Compared to Google Drive and Docs, Onedrive is such a pile of shite! No version name/snapshots, no tags, no labels, no collections.

there is some thing I feel deeply troubling about having to provide one company with access to my HMRC data, my bank account, My passport, driving license and a video of my face, just so I can get a bloody job.
Do I trust this company taking all data, no option. I can't even tell who is taking it all as it's branded REED but I know the underlying tech is other companies.
And to get a job, there is no choice but to suck it up and give them all my data.

I really wish KDE Plasma made directory sharing easier. There is just no easy way for a regular user to set up Samba or (ideally) NFS shares.

Sharing folders in Linux is such a pain in the arse.

I have spent ages trying to find a simple snippets tool for Linux. They're all bloated, web based or have some massive database backend. I just wanted something dead simple. So I (well... mostly Claude Sonnet but I helped) coded one.
It's staggeringly small and simple. Uses sqlite backend, no bells or whistles
