live coding and stuff - making flok, muxy and some other things
Posts
I’m *slowly* getting back to developing Flok! These are some of the topics I’m most interested in working on (largely motivated by #pastagang and nudel):
* More focus on the "protocol" side: Fixing long-standing bugs related to session management and evaluation, better documentation for custom clients.
* Better integration/collaboration with web languages: There are currently some audio/time integrations between some languages like Hydra/Strudel, would love to have a more flexible/general way to do this with multiple languages in the same session (clock syncing, audio, webcam, screen casting, etc.).
* Offline-first: This has always been a priority, but I somehow forgot
* Fast: There’s a lot of cruft I brought in with the 1.0 version that I intend to gradually remove — the old Flok was much faster, and I want to get back to that (without losing the new features and customizability)
@tristanC@functional.cafe @froos@post.lurk.org @TodePond@mas.to Now I'm thinking that this will eventually happen to the session used by the WeekEndJams. I'll have to think of something to mitigate this... /cc @cleary@social.toplap.org
