And until something changes, I refuse to buy a new car.
I refuse to buy an electric car as well, they all have the same issue. Software driven, digital kill switches for features (self-drive), paywalls.
When I buy a car with a feature, I expect that feature to be included in the price when I buy it, not an on-going relationship or subscription.

I will admit, using Webtop Images daily for my basic things has been amazing...
Especially at work, where normally I wouldn't be able to install things like Plexamp or Discord.
Cove also makes it easier to manage multiple workspaces, I have dedicated ones for VSCodium, and Brave, for quick tasks.
No better wake up call than your AC breaking during a heatwave.
Luckily it is not as hot as it was last week, but still it is never good timing.
One capacitor swap later, we are back in business. Thanks Home Depot for being open on the 4th lol

This is software I use for myself.
I wanted a way to have portable Linux desktops that I can use at work, at home, and on the go over Tailscale.
This meets and exceeds my needs in some cases. I have been enjoying using it for day to day stuff.

Full disclosure, AI was used for this project. I have done my best to review everything personally.
I am a seasoned Python developer at this point, and have built many apps at work, which do amazing things.
Claude was mostly used for the UI, which I have much less experience building (I come from a Bootstrap UI era, I have been backend ever since 😂 ).

My goal was to simplify what Kasm offers, and use the latest tech.
The Linuxserver.io Selkies Docker images are AMAZING, and I decided to build this around their tech specifically.
So huge shout out to those folks, you are killing it, and thank you for doing what you are doing. I love it.

Junior Developers take note: When you finally get to a senior position, stay humble.
DO NOT get a big head and think you are always correct. Do not treat others like you are better, and untouchable.
I have been at a senior level for 3 years now. I have built 2 very successful Internal Developer platforms, and designed/implemented many smaller, high-impact automation projects.
I STILL ask the team for feedback and take it into consideration. Though I am a senior member, I do NOT know everything. I need this feedback to better my designs.
