so the way fedi works is you have these very big instances who somehow have the funds to support 10's of thousands of members and if you question their moderation decisions and are not-the-right-kind of leftist or trans person they ban and block you and slander you and if you question or take issue with that they do the same to you.
this is a vulnerability built into the nature of the client-server model that admins/moderators have basically unchecked authority, this is supposed to be checked by the distributed nature of the network, but when you have very large instances who coordinate in a cliquish manner, then small instances don't really have a chance.
