Complying with Chinese government requests — including those involving espionage and censorship — is required of all Chinese companies by law. I must add that telling people you disagree with to f* off is not just lazy, it’s rude, crass, and not helpful in making the fediverse a civil environment for discourse and community building.

@justizin@hachyderm.io So, in your opinion, what’s the critical feature or features that Pager Duty has that other kit does not have? Maybe the community can fill those gaps at some point, knowing what they are. 🙂

@mattstratton@hachyderm.io @justizin@hachyderm.io Nagios, Prometheus, and several other high-quality monitoring and alerting systems are free. They are also straightforward to configure and use. I’ve been using Nagios for many years, and have never seen a reason to replace it with Pager Duty or any other service. I highly recommend it and Prometheus. You’re welcome to ask me any questions about my experience with these things, or about how we use them at my workplace. 🙂
