In my local city, people die every year getting ran over on a bike. I knew a dr who didnt make it.
I got close-lined off my bike once around 2017. Its part of the gang initiation to send someone to the hospital. I have a dent in my nose because of it.
Its MUCH more dangerous in my area than most places though.

I remember the last time gas prices went through the roof.
I was riding my bike with my wife, going to the goshery store. A guy yelled out of his truck. I was like here we go….(im used to harassment on bikes). He said “Yeah! Stick it to em!”
We were just poor at the time, but it made our day haha.

Ive played around with it. Its VERY hard to set up...but it actually does what it says better than other platforms in the lora space.
Also its not being updated anymore unfortunately. Its a monumental achievement for any one person to make. Im hoping the community can take a look at some point. With HaLow coming together, it would be cool if we get integration at some point.

It would be fun to create a CURL converter. Just simple aliases or conversion tool.
I just looked it up, looks like there may be something like it here: https://github.com/christianhelle/curlgenerator

Ive had a couple of these. I find that the jack itself sometimes will not work or the audio is VERY bad. The last one I got was for 10$ and seemed to do the trick. But it took 3 tries to find an adapter that didnt have an issue.
One I bought at wallmart, one at amazon, one at an audio-store. The final one was given to me and worked first try! I thought it was my usbc adapter until that point on my phone...but my steam deck had the same issues with the usb-c to audio jack.
I wonder if companies are cheaping out with the components since its a small market. Audiophiles are going to default to using audio-jack. And consumers are just getting bluetooth whatevers. People that want ot direct connect usbc are not the norm. Or at least thats what it feels like to me.

Jeff Bezos said the quiet part out loud — hopes that you'll give up your PC to rent one from the cloud

Looking Back at the Best Inventions of 2001
While looking down the back of the Internet for something or other, I stumbled across Time Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2001. It has been a quarter of a century since 2001 (!!) so that’s a good excuse to look back at what stood the test of time. The article states: Inventions come in all shapes and sizes. Some are as simple as purple catsup. Others push the limits of quantum physics. The…

The Revolution Will Not Make the Hacker News Front Page - Dhole Moments
(with apologies to Gil Scott-Heron) If you get all of your important technology news from “content aggregators” like Hacker News, Lobste.rs, and most subreddits, you might be totally unaware of the important but boring infrastructure work happening largely on the Fediverse, indie web, and other less-centralized communities. This is no accident. The rough consensus of…

Getting repairable tech will be even more important now than ever. Making your current devices last is important, but even more important in a couple of years (in my opinion).
I just dont see the price going down.

My theory is its easier to produce a product for a small number of big investors in AI than millions of consumers looking to build hobby computers. Plus the AI companies are flush with cash, MUCH more than the average consumer. So they are getting the cash now and worrying about the fallout later, just like everyone else.

So far we are seeing significant price increases/low availability in:
-
RAM
-
SSDs/hard drives
-
some microcontrollers
-
phones
-
and now GPUs
I think we are nearing a bit of a technological winter for the consumer market.
