@GeoffWozniak@masto.hackers.town To be fair, I've actually seen two roller skate-forward Fringe plays that I enjoyed: Roller Derby Saved My Soul (Nancy Kenny, several times) and A Midsummer Night's Fever (Winnipeg 1998, maybe?). Looking for those also reminded me of Whip It (2009) which isn't bad.

This is the kind of thing that drives me nuts about #ForAllMankind: the Soviet administrator's wife (Tasha Polivanova, played by Olga Fonda) has appeared in two episodes, but the captions refer to him by name (Lenya) and her as "spouse". It's pervasive: most seasons have been built around the more interesting female characters, but until the last episode one of the male astronauts was credited first (don't let the door hit ya, Bob) and now the "lead" is just a dude who showed up last season.

@jpsays What an odd channel. It's put up 12 produced videos in just 6 weeks, doesn't credit anyone or link to any sources, has clickbaity titles and all kinds of spammy hashtags, and seems to be AI-narrated... but the imagery seems to be real and the information feels right (to this non-expert who skimmed the content, at least, but I can't say it *wasn't* written by an LLM). If it is legit, I wish they'd be more up front about who they are and how they're creating their content.

(No idea if it's true, but I always had the impression that your eggs, accents, and scicomm threads were a creative outlet to counter frustrations elsewhere.)
