@whbboyd@infosec.exchange @ifixcoinops@retro.social i think tumblr's post editor is pretty good. the edge of a formatting style effectively acts like a character for the purpose of the arrow keys. so if the caret is inside the edge of the bold part, the bold part is highlighted and what you type will be bold, but if you press "right" once, the caret doesn't physically move but the bold part becomes unhighlighted and what you type will not be bold.

@matildalove@wetdry.world i once had to make a password and it wasn't Fucking working and then i eventually thought okay. these people are stupid and supernaturally bad at coding so maybe i can't use spaces in the password. and it turned out i in fact couldn't use spaces in the password, which was not stated anywhere.

@mavica_again@computerfairi.es i am also potentially making a minecraft thingy which might have custom music discs as well as accompaniments that are added to the existing in-game music during certain scenarios but i don't plan on adding such features until way later. i too am making progress very slowly.

@petafloppa@meow.social @mynotaurus@floofy.tech yeah i was about to say that javascript on a website is fine as long as it's not bloated and not mandatory and fails gracefully. though i do think a web scripting language should probably have a way stricter permission system so i feel negatively about the language itself, but at the same time it's what we have.
