By weird mathematical coincidence, John Ternus and Apple Inc. are both currently 50 years old. Given that Ternus joined the company in 2001, he's been there for half of *both* of their lives.

(Ternus apparently turns 51 next month, whereas Apple marked its 50th a few weeks ago, so the math ain't perfect… but still!)

@gingerbeardman I have the ScanSnap set up to scan directly to Dropbox so I can scan without my Mac's involvement at all, but I need the ScanSnap app to configure that. Alas. Maybe I should find myself an old Mac Mini on the cheap and set it up exclusively as a USB-connected ScanSnap server so I can banish the ScanSnap Home app forever!

@gingerbeardman Congrats! What a massive and completely bonkers achievement. I insta-bought Hubble. Amazing to watch as the initial "what if” post from @mwichary led to your “I think I can make that" response, and now to have the app in my digital hands—in record time, no less! I'm genuinely flabbergasted. Also love literally *everything* about fitsonafloppy.com. The design, the manifesto, the screen saver (such fond memories of flying toasters), everything. I recently shouted from my very small rooftop about my Fujitsu (now Ricoh) ScanSnap's software weighing in at over a gigabyte. @marcedwards Also, I don't know if you'll remember this, but I'm pretty sure you and I first internet-met when my colleagues and I interviewed you for our dinky little design agency's dinky little podcast to discuss the art of building design tools. According to the Wayback Machine, that was in May of 2014—our 100th episode, no less—in which we referred to Skala as coming “later this year." @marcedwards I believe it! It's an ambitious project. If you're not banging your head against your tools and growling “dammit, I wish it worked like ___” at least once a day, I don't know that you're truly a designer. 😂 The notion that Bjango is actually *building* that desired reality is fantastic.
