Strong disagree on this one. The horizontal orientation makes it simpler to navigate and brings it in line with iOS app switching. The sliding animation helps the user to understand where they are going to/from. Admittedly “reduce animation” in accessibility settings should turn it off. Learn to use command-tab to quickly switch apps and the space will follow.

What’s the point of adding all these fancy new AI/Siri features if the Apple Watch is too stupid to use its cellular connection when needed? Apple’s paying for data centers its customers can’t connect to.
Displaying “Processing Payment” when downloading a free app from the App Store is such horrible UI/UX.
Someone at Engadget doesn’t know how to design a favicon. I’ll never understand why websites invest in these huge redesigns that just break everything. By the time they finish getting everything working again, they’ve started on the next unnecessary redesign.
This reeks of “We paid all this money for AI, find a use for it!”
I remember when it was Apple policy to not announce products that weren’t ready to ship. Let’s see if Ternus and Cook understand why now. They certainly didn’t learn their lesson with “AirPower”.
Good post about Apple Invites. I remember enjoying iCards, but Invites just feels like friction to use. Maybe not everything needs to be an app? Or maybe this feature should be built into the Calendar app? It really feels like something that will just be abandoned by Apple in a year.
Pretty sure Jobs would have killed this “futuristic” product by now. (Like he did with OpenDoc and Newton.) Sometimes being a CEO means knowing when to say “No”.

If I put my Apple Watch on but forget to unlock it, it should be smart enough to tap me on the wrist and ask “Do you want to unlock your watch?” After all, it does this when it thinks you’ve started a workout.
Fascinating that the majority of “most helpful” reviews of the Audible app on the App Store are just reviews of various books. Not the app. Feels really scammy. And kind of pathetic.
