@matuzo it’s been too long since I’ve been to AMS but there are too recommendations that still hold. The first is Winkel 43, you should grab their apple cake and the second is really upscale, De Kas. It is an amazing restaurant that has it’s own attached greenhouse for veggies.

This is so dumb. Carbon capture a) doesn't work and b) produces more carbon than it captures. Just spend that $15M on renewables instead. Nobody wants carbon capture except for our industrial overlords.

@inthehands @jenniferplusplus One spot I worked, I saw someone climb the ranks by starting new initiatives that "seemed" like a good idea but were incredibly badly thought out. The person used each project as a springboard to something bigger by getting out before it was discovered the previous project was crap. That way they could always blame the maintainers.

The quote from @baldur really resonated with me as I have worked in orgs where the managers incentives (features and due date) were at cross purposes with developers incentives (quality). Predictably this led to buggy software and huge amounts of technical depth.
