If you run your own AI and watch how long it takes, how much it runs up the resources for a few seconds, then you might get an idea of what it's like hosting at least three copies of a multi-terabyte LLM, in memory, with much shorter response and a much bigger knowledge base (Gemini by Google), taking millions of prompts per minute. Then think of every company that's hosting major public AI services. Then remember that the *only* things good that come out of AI are natural language inference for voice commands and *slightly* improved developer processes. Hosting it is just a reminder of the rapid environmental, ecological and cultural destruction that is the AI bubble. In summary: *Perhaps*, if the hoster wants it for streamlining their dev process. Otherwise it can be replaced with a far more efficient standard algorithmic program, which is what we had before.

ICE demanded Google give everything they had on a pro Palestine expatriate living in the USA, and Google did so without notifying said individual, which seems to be the kicker here.

Well this is awful. My policy is if it can’t agree to my terms, it is rejected. If a company is kicking up a fuss because I want to ensure my primary address isn’t forever compromised by spam, and doesn’t work with aliases or duckduckgo privacy relays, then said company doesn’t get my attention or business. Whatever the service you’re trying to obtain from them, I can almost guarantee there’s a more amicable alternative.

Bruh 65" is only good if you're like 6m away - almost no homes are like that. <=42" is the only normal size for a normal home, and sacrificing no quality. I get preferences, but that size has nothing to do with practicality

Lol, such bs. When HDTVs were made 'smart', and then 3D, the only ones sold were 40"+ and £3,000+. Took about three years for that price to drop 90%. But this is garbage news, who still wants a television in this century? Pubs, community spaces and that's about it. Monitors are significantly cheaper, with less bloat and software lock.

When you’re a child a lot of the content you consume has morals, lessons embedded in them, either blatant or subtle. You realise that when you got older, the lessons never stopped, only became more subtle, and who decides what to tell the mass public but the state government and others who have been fooled into being loyal to a fault. (There are also completely innocent broadcasters out there, it’s not all bad). A very subtle example is NCIS, made in the USA by a corporate entity independent of state funding, based on a real-life government organisation. They never show an Israeli as a bad person. Dislikeable, sure, but never the antagonist, never held accountable for murders on American land. This teaches that the Israeli government, and their Mossad, are faultlessly good in the fictional parallel world of NCIS, and the viewer attributes this to our reality’s version of the same organisation. Subtle conditioning. Oh and in one scene, showing a distaste for Israeli delicacies is ‘antisemitic’ and not a subjective opinion. This meme, as the creator pointed out, reinforces the idea that police are benevolent forces working for the good of the public. When abused, like they are now in (dare I say it) most countries of the world, the forces are only for the good of the bureaucrats and corporate aristocrats. The corruption level can often be determined by which demographics and state crimes get hunted disproportionately.

They put a couple things behind the paywall: the ability to securely share files instead of just text, and to host TOTP authentication. As it is I prefer using other services for sharing And while TOTP auth is nice I use Aegis

I know it’s a joke but the fact is Al Qaeda was founded by people whose friends and family were bombed by the US military. There’s very little that people, who lost everything to live for in a country kept destitute by attacks from America, can do except keel over or find a way to attack back. The US government creates their nemeses through cruelty, and are ultimately the cause. .Then they somehow convince their people that some gang member in Kazakhstan poses an actual threat to the lifestyle of their children, and gets them to train up so they can go and bomb four gang members and 48 civilians, whose family members become radicalised against America and for good reason.

And it was appropriated and modified by the Christians (Christianity spread so fast and dominated so much I don’t even know how, yes they colonised but how the hell did they assimilate the Romans so easily), but now it’s been a consumerist holiday more than a spiritual one for about a century. Many cultures still celebrate it the Christian way, sure, and many just utilise it to buy their loved ones material gifts and get like gifts in return, more than focus on the now largely unnecessary celebration of surviving winter, or social connections.
