It's even money on whether or not Doug Ford's comments regarding surveillance pricing are him deliberately misleading or him not understanding that it is not competition between businesses, but charging multiple customers different prices for the same items.
Either way, Dougie does not care about the average Ontarian. But at least he's got a shiny new multi-million dollar jet to fly around in on the taxpayer dime.

One of these days I should do a test to see how much all my watercolours move. As I recall, Caput Mortuum was a real goer.

Dear folks who comment online:
FFS. Stop using an LLM to wtite your comments. But, if you do, clean them up so we can't tell it's bot fodder.
It makes you look like a ding dong.

I tried to do a wash using the bead. And let me tell you, though this is by no means shocking, it sure as shit doesn't work as well on cellulose paper as it does on cotton.

I must admit that one thing the internet has done is given me a vomitous dislike of the word mindset.

I am really craving a couple of those seaweed and rice triangle things from that Korean place in the farmers' market. Yum.

Sometimes the blotter paper turns out more interestingly than the art you made on top of it.

Since Cadbury, Nestle, and Hershey are off the table. Short of artisanal bars I can't afford, I need a new chocolate bar go to.

It deeply bums me out that I can't really partake in mudlarking or beachcombing or found object anything.
That's one thing I really wish I could do.

Abdul Al Sayed, running for senate in Michigan, was approached by a voter who said "I don't like you, but I'm voting for you." When asked about the reason, the voter said it was because Al Sayed wants to provide healthcare. Al Sayed: "I don't need you to like me. I need you to like you."

I have to clean my sword. The oil smells like crayons.
At least it isn't choji oil.

They switched me to the generic semiglutide. I figured they would. And, relievingly, it's coming from APO and not Teva.

It's good to know that the acrylic inks and India ink pens I bought almost a decade ago are still in working order.

Am I the only person online who hated "Infinite Jest"? I see plenty of adulation, but never any negging. Bear in mind, though, it's been well over a decade since I read it.

It should be illegal for companies to destroy products that could be donated or sold at discount.
The reworking of Canada Post to turn it into a truly useful entity - banking, delivery of items other than mail, etc. There's a whole site out there about it, but I can't recall it offhand.
The switch, for some industries/workplaces, to a task-based model from the current one. If handled properly, this would open up a lot of work and earning opportunities for those who need a more flexible schedule.
Expropriation of all corporate-owned empty housing for redistribution to the homeless or underhoused.
Expropriation of the Loblaws/Westons corporations to turn them into crown corporations.
Free public transit.
In Finland, private schools are not allowed. All kids go to public schools. I'd like that here.
Fully-funded childcare.
The alteration of the school day to better sync with the standard work day. This would necessitate the addition of more activities, meal times, etc to fill the extra time.

Son of a bitch. Faber-Castell's gone and released acrylic markers AND the 20 new Polychromos pencils are coming soon as well.
I shake my first at the desire for new art supplies hampered by the frustrations of poorness!

On my way to volunteering on Friday, I found someone had left a PSA for us all. It's not like we haven't all heard the stories, so it sure wasn't a surprise.

Sun-bleached and a bit worse for wear, it's the tassel from my high school grad cap. It should be royal blue, and lessed tarnished.

There's a difference between being defeatist and experiencing defeat. I wish people wouldn't assume that expressing the latter automatically means you're doing the former.

The creation of a stipend for those in healthcare education such that it's like an apprenticeship, and the creation of more healthcare learning spaces for all levels and applicable professions.
Complete eradication of customer-facing for-profit healthcare.
Healthcare that includes pharma and mental health care.
More front line community care workers to deal with situations that police shouldn't, or don't need to, be part of.
If we have to keep the police, they shouldn't be allowed to join the force under the age of, say, 25, nor should they be allowed to join any force without at least a two-year college diploma (minimum) in community services of some kind, including training in psychiatric care.
It should be illegal for food to be disposed of by grocery stores (unless it's actually spoiled). All unsellable food should be distributed to food banks, soup kitchens, shelters, or any service that can mitigate food waste.

Some watercolour/gouache don't move much when placed. Some fast, some slow but far. The (Qor) Bohemian Green Earth moves a little but light. The (Winsor Newton) Caput Mortuum moves like it's being chased by the devil itself.

I look at the increase in poverty, violence, and bigot-fuelled rage in this country and am sickened by the continued utter lack of will to do anything about it.
End poverty, provide housing, and give people something functional to do.

I would personally love to add a slice of cheese to Claes Oldenburg's "Floor Burger" (at the AGO). While I appreciate the pickle immensely, I think it's lacking something vital without cheese.
