@deech@mastodon.social yes, agreed; we just haven’t attempted to make the paper cuts of development better, & we also just constantly push for more faster now. That’s part of what I mean, we know the solutions for the better, but we just don’t invest in making them happen. So I do think there’s a difference, “knowing but not investing” seems worse to me. For example, I dislike blockchain generally, but huge emphasis was made to make formal systems reasoning more accessible; I wish this was applied more broadly

@deech@mastodon.social is it that we didn’t know or that we didn’t care to know? Like we knew specs, docs, testing, QA, &c all help produce good things that we want, but we also don’t want to spend any money (via time or resources as well) on any of those things
