Debian, on the server, the laptop, the desktop, and the gaming machine. Debian.
I started with Slackware many years ago. Eventually switched to Kubuntu on my desktop and laptop machines, then later the server switched to Debian. The desktop and laptop switched later.

Ah that would do it. Disappointing. But thanks for the suggestions and finding that.
Yeah 3.0 on Trixie.
Sounds like that gimp-data-extras package shouldn’t apply to 3.x. So maybe that’s the fundamental problem.

I tried editing one of them to change the -1 in the gimp-text-fontname call to None, then Null. Restarted GIMP after each change, but I’m still getting the error.
But it sounds like it’s an error in the GIMP distribution…

Issue with GIMP scripts - Debian Trixie
Hi, all. I’m trying to use the logo creator scripts in GIMP under Debian Trixie. Standard apt install, using Debian sources, including gimp-data-extras, which is the package with the scripts. The packages are all up to date.
When I try to run any of the logo scripts, I get an error message like this:
Execution error for ‘Alien Glow’:
Error: eval: unbound variable: gimp-text-fontname
I’ve done some searching, and the results all say things like, “Oh, your script is missing…” or something like that. But it’s not my script, it’s a standard script with GIMP. All of the logo scripts give this error, on two different computers (both with Debian Trixie).
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Get a dog, the walks become mandatory.
Then there are days when the dog has to sniff every third blade of grass…inevitably, this happens when you’re short on time and trying to do a quick walk…
And then there’s rain, snow, extreme cold, extreme heat…yeah walking a dog has it all!

I use DHCP for everything, even my server, with a reserved IP address in the router for the server and my desktop and a few other things I don’t want to move around (printers, some IoT things, Home Assistant, etc.).
I think the issue is the bridge interface I have to set up for Home Assistant.

I’ve read that a lot of that “valuable” china really isn’t - some of it may have been at one point, but the younger generations just aren’t interested, so the market has just dropped out.

Yeah. I help mod the Washington Capitals hockey team sub, and recently I looked through every other NHL team’s sub, and we’re the ONLY ones that post game day threads. And even with us, it’s basically only one or two of us commenting on the games. Compare that to dozens or even hundreds of people commenting on every game in every team’s reddit sub.
