@Nfoonf @monoxyd Ab welchem Zeitpunkt? Verkauf durch Apple? Denn das M1 Air wurde in den USA über Wallmart bereits mehr als fünf Jahre lang vertrieben. Gab es eknen solchen Gall zu Intel-Zeiten auch schon?

@Nfoonf @monoxyd Wenn ich nicht den Bedarf an mehr RAM für Container-Workloads und ab und an eine VM hätte und nicht soweiso den größeren Screen des 15er Airs wollte, wäre ich noch beim M1 und folglich zum Neo greifen. Würde für den Preis aber vermutlich das Upgrade auf 512GB und Touch ID mitnehmen. Außerdem: Niemand weiß, wie lange Apple seine eigenen Prozessoren unterstützen wird. Daher hat man von einem neueren Gerät vermutlich länger was. Heist: Mx von Familie oder Freunde übernehmen. Alternativ refurbished von Apple. Oder eben neu.

@Nfoonf @monoxyd jo, bin bei refurbished und Gerät mit großem Akku mittlerweile auch vorsichtig. Hatte schon Ersatzakkus gesehen, die bereits aufgebläht geliefert wurden und selbst einer von iFixit drückte mir nach wenigen Jahren den Gehäuseboden bei auf. Leistungsmäßig liegt das Neo irgendwo zwischen M1 und M2. Auch das M1 hatte schon einen Luftspalt zum Gehäuse und daher eine mäßige Kühlung. Hatte das M1 selbst mit 8GB. Reichte mir selbst für seltene RAW-Bildbearbeitung. Allerdings swap-te das auch noch etwas besser, weil die SSD schneller angebunden war als das beim Neo (oder auch beim 256er M2) der Fall ist.
