I get these containers of croissants from Costco. They're freaking good, but if I just leave them out, they start getting stale before we can eat them all. My low tech solution is just put stuff on top of them to keep a slightly better seal. No extra containers to wash, and it easily lasts a week. #lifehack

i'm rerolling 9 weapons in #monsterhunterwilds . the rolls are predictable, you can quit without saving to undo your exploratory rolls, and rolls for one weapon type also advance the rolls for other weapons. so the more weapons you're rerolling at once, the more you can fill the wasted roll attempts with good rolls on other weapons. i'm gonna burn through all my oricalcite at this rate but i'll have an awesome set of weapons when i'm done.
started off making a dinky little text based game in #rust to quiz my kid on math problems in a fun way. now it's complicated enough that i've got an mpsc::channel, a display thread, and probably enough to write a blog post about all my crossterm wrangling.
i called Kohler support to help with finding the parts needed to fix a shower issue i'm having. the mixer cap for my shower is set a bit too deeply in my wall to attach well to the trim, so the woman on the phone kept telling me to get a "debruffing kit", and i'm like wut. what is that?
finally i got her to tell me the part number, and it's this. but i can't unhear debruffing kit.
