The person running the Kennedy Center decided to close it and do repairs because so many performers wouldn't perform there anymore that they might as well close it and fix it.

I don't think he realized how bad that makes Trump look, but it's implied by his testimony.

Something i should have done 4 years ago. Drivers have been parking in a no parking zone across the street from my place. inevitably, they block traffic, as my street is barely an alley. Parkers definitely block trucks, which honk up a storm. It's always been no parking, but because the sign is on the other side of a tree, drivers convince themselves it's ok. they know better, but plausible deniability is something we indulge for ourselves, not just something the government plays at.

I finally submitted a 311 to put up a sign on the pole right next to the spot. In less than FIVE days, SFMTA had a worker out putting up a sign.

In the last two days, I've seen only two cars there, and only one was a walkaway. that dude only parked there only about 45 minutes.

@Andres4NY@social.ridetrans.it @danielhep@social.ridetrans.it Clipper cards have at least three different discount systems (low income, disability & youth/senior) all with completely separate ways to apply. Youth/senior can't really be done online even. Mail (gotta have a printer!) or in person.

Give a stack of discount cards to the agencies who deal with low income and homeless folks and let them just give the cards to who they see fit to, and submit the names back to the transit agency.

@Andres4NY@social.ridetrans.it @danielhep@social.ridetrans.it Our transit system execs really really like keeping gate jumpers to a minimum, and I suspect they would be really averse to this open gate that closes if the fare card is declined idea. (I also suspect gate jumping is much less prevalent in Japan than it is in the Bay Area, where I'm bound to that happen every trip.)
