Looking at ipsw diffs, guess iOS 26.4 introduced some safety protection that discards notification from untracked APNs token, preventing CloudKit notifications from getting to the app 😂

@_Davidsmith One minor callout is since the dock is mostly designed to flash software, trying to interact with the device is a little weird (as moving the device a few CM off will cause it to disconnect), one might have to 3D print a mount so the watch can be fixed in the optimal position for connectivity without worrying about moving the watch disconnects it.

@_Davidsmith Just the box itself is enough, you don't need other install any software, it's basically the same as connecting an iOS device to the computer directly using a wire. That iMFC software seems to be more for repairing stuff.

@markm68k@mastodon.social nah I think it’s them being constrained by cost. If they want this to work in a more optimal/less confusing way, they can use a USB 4 switch chip and connect that to the A18 Pro’s USB 3 internally, and have that switch to feed both ports. This allows both ports to support up to USB 3 speed with video output capability. (Verified this setup is feasible using a TB4 Hub and iPhone with USB C port, all 3 downstream ports from the hub can support one display being connected to it)
