i'm not sure what huch made me check out astro for the first time (yeah, i know, late to the party). but it's perfect for the current project. and my 11ty-loving heart hurts to admit it's a lot better suited than 11ty with webc, which i tried initially.

one thing i never seem to get right is when and where to apply aspect-ratio. guess, i'll have to queue up a blog post for this.

@argyleink especially the first part of your article reminds me of how i always recommended css frameworks like bootstrap and foundation. need a quick prototype or don’t care about extra designs? go for it. but the moment you start customizing, adding your special ideas, got a design handed over, etc., better start from scratch, cause it’s the moment you start working against the framework.

Continuing to port my friend's drupal website to kirby. And i just setup both the sitemap.xml and the rss feeds in a matter of minutes.

Granted, this doesn't take into account the hours wrapping my head around the kirby universe and php and everything. So, big thumbs up to past me who decided to save relevant links along the way.

Recently registered on a community support discord chat for the first time ever.

And oh my dear! What a shitty experience is this!!!

Chat is generally bad for forum stuff, but e.g. slack at least displays threads in a sensible way and seems to have a functioning search.

@jensimmons@front-end.social width and height calculations by the browsers. when does a width: 100%; help, when is it useless? why does height:100%; in some cases use an ancestor’s height, but in others not? how does the block formatting context play into this? over the years i’ve read about edge cases and things to keep in mind. some form of case-based cheat sheet would be great.
