Here’s a cool #vinylrecord (but it’s not vinyl). Purpur Spytt’s 2024 album ‘Scavenges, Time-travels, and Scrapbooks’ is not pressed in vinyl but individually lathe-cut(!) into upcycled LaserDiscs. (Also the sleeves are LD-sleeves turned inside out and silkscreened).
Typeface and design by “is there anything she can’t do!?” @SophieWietlisbach@mastodon.social (of Impact Type fame). Cut by Grand Voyage Records.

One thing that came out of my research for Beyond Bézier is the Stroke Scribbler, a @RoboFont extension that creates a Noordzij-style cross-hatch to de-emphasize shapes’ outlines.
It’s been programmed by (the best and coolest) @arthurfontzarelli and I’m super happy about that.

Finally online: Beyond Bézier, the research projects my dear colleagues and I undertook at Écal, where we thought about type design beyond making products that use Bézier outlines.
