Went to my local Residents Association meeting today.
Usual topics: traffic, too many cars (someone actually suggested building more lanes on the new stal̕əw̓asəm bridge to fix that), minor inconveniences from construction detours etc
But my main takeaway was the 80+yr old white guy who asked about the indigenous art on the stal̕əw̓asəm bridge and whether we could have some "historical, heritage" (you know what he means) art as well because, and I quote: "reconciliation is a two-way street" 🙄

@BillySmith@social.coop @fesshole@mastodon.social haha - yeah same effect that I'm getting. Always fascinating to see what gets leaked/sold - eg dropbox MULTIPLE times. Also lots of small dying startups seem to sell their database as they close down - probably a quick way of exiting with some cash.

@fesshole@mastodon.social 👏 I do similar for email signups - buy a domain, forward all email on that domain to a real address then give out Amazon@domain, Facebook@domain etc to every different website. Makes filtering, blocking and identifying the source of leaks very easy.

Seems it's finally time to replace my Brother HL-5250DN #printer.
Totally dead - no lights or noises on power-on. Might try opening it up to look at the power supply but don't hold out much hope.
Knew I'd had it a long time but hadn't guessed EIGHTEEN YEARS. Wow.
Torn on what to replace it with - don't trust most printer manufacturers but know Brother isn't what it used to be. Probably risking a Brother HL-L2460DW - i mean... how bad can they have become?
