Like I feel your point, but also the ads definitely have a lot more identifiable information (target audience, keywords, sectors, etc.) they can use for detection & removal vs random posts using algospeak and other evasion tactics

100% agree, and made pretty much the same point in the LTT forum a while back. Flavor of the month people annoy tf out of me, I’ve been a linux user for over a decade and have never even thought of recommending something outside of the big 3 (debian/ubuntu (or mint if that’s your thing), fedora, arch)
Tried and true distros are the only real option and IMO the difference between distros once everything is configured is mininal

There are definitely valid reasons to use SSDs in a server/array. One of my proxmox servers runs 4x m.2s in raidz1 so all my vms are super snappy. Depending on what you’re running you can really see benefits, for example:
Elastic Stack
Network storage for photo editing

Immich
Pretty much anything with a lot of metadata or tons of files will see benefits from running on SSDs, this comes with the caveat that cheap ssds wear quickly and are a pain in the ass but if you need it, you need it

Absolutely no downside, we should be advocating for natural trees vs the fake ones.
Though, i must admit I’m guilty of temptation – the thought of not having to wrangle lights with a prelit tree does entice me (i haven’t given in though ✊)

Its definitely more eco friendly, the alternative is plastic trees which are worse for the environment.
Christmas trees capture CO2 while they mature and are biodegradable/renewable
