@saagar@federated.saagarjha.com Interesting. In the iOS symbols case you're comparing "copy shared cache off device" versus "extract shared cache from ipsw/ota on apple CDN" right. But isn't the watchos shared cache already downloaded from apple CDN, why is this approach an order of magnitude faster?

@ldelossa@fosstodon.org I'm a huge fan of the scripting interfaces to lldb, and I have a bunch of random little helper commands I've added over the years, love to see it. I know it can be a little intimidating at the beginning, figuring out how to get started, so it's great to see people dipping their toes in. the next command is that much easier to write.

@ldelossa@fosstodon.org Love to see extensions to lldb, great job, and thanks for sharing. FWIW the built-in b command alias (which is 10 regexes in a coat pretending to be a command) accepts filename:linenumber, you could do command alias brp b and then brp /path/to/file:linenum works. The canonical breakpoint set command has a new -y argument which also does file&line, e.g. br s -y main.c:10, but most people just use b which behaves like gdb's b command for the most part.
