I cannot understand that even in 2026 there is a strong anti-systemd movement o_O We waited 20 years to something like systemd to happen to have great cross-distribution compatiblity.

I don't like AI. That's why I work on Puu.

I find rpm-ostree really cool technology. Have been playing with it my X390 Thinkpad, which is like my "testing ground for new stuff". Has this been applied to other distributions so far similarly as in Silverblue? I'm particularly interested could I redo this with arch baseline?

It so far as only zip supported as a test case for VFS (using minizip-ng). I don't even think I will want to support all the possible file format but for anything supported the user experience is optimize. I will release it when it feels glitch-free for what it has.

I've created over last few months or so a single pane filemanger called Caffeine Commander aka ccd:

1.It has a VFS layer.
2. It does not invoke external programs as subconsequence of its predefined actions.
3. It does not have plugins.
4. While not always unavoidable, minimizing and reducing the build configuration is a continuous goal.

@pinkforest@hachyderm.io Github is also infamous for spreading malware in precompiled binaries and many many other things than just AI and inference :-) Microsoft's web story is quite bad overall over the decades even. It's all been only shit so far :-) When thinking about LLMs, it makes me releaved to see how MS executes these days in the sense that apparently even unlimited AI resources enhanced MS is still as lack of style as always :-) It is apparently something you cannot teach.

A new git tidbit learned: git branch --edit-description

Read:

git config --get branch.container.description

Now git-format-patch will import it as the body of the cover-letter:

git format-patch --cover-letter master
