@Kye@tech.lgbt a friend who works warehouse st Amazon looked into it. Apparently there is one importer for Simon and Schulster for Amazon Canada, and they have *consistently* been shipping poor-quality and potentially counterfeit books. “Amazon is investigating”

I just got sold a counterfeit book by Amazon, despite it being “new” and “sold and shipped by Amazon”. Obviously a fake — book was wrong size, wrong paper, and printed at a 7 degree skew. Including the cover, where part of the copyright text was cut off.

Not a single person looked at it. Not a single flippin person. This is your reminder to never buy anything from Amazon that you can get anywhere else.

i think having a sticker album as a child may have delayed my understanding of the purpose of stickers
