@dansup@mastodon.social I've seen a lot of friends complain about the Mastodon sign-up UX -- "why do I need to choose a server? What difference does it make? How do I choose one?"
Inspiration may be gotten from this page (especially the blurb at the top): https://joinmastodon.org/servers
Random idea: Select some interests (like Twitter on first launch), and randomly select a server that is the closest match in terms of interests.
That said: The UI looks really good! Very clean.

@feditips@mstdn.social Wait, I remember seeing that Twitter provides rel=“me” links in the Website field. Is that true? That’ll make #Fedified quite useless.
I mean, right now you can already do it manually by checking their original Twitter profile for their Mastodon handle xD
