The simulations gets slightly more approachable in the last ~25% of the video. I like the theory that the "AI" datacenters they're pushing for will actually be to process this data and send it down in a usable format. Makes sense to me!

This codifies something that I've been doing in an ad-hoc fashion for years. Ping the router, modem, and internet to determine which step along the path is broken. This information helps determine which part of your path to the internet is busted. It's designed to be run on your phone (get the page on mobile data, switch to airplane mode, hit button). @nelson@tech.lgbt I'm running into a version of this with both Wells Fargo and Chase. Wells Fargo phone support completely gave up and told me I need to go into a branch to reset my entire auth stack and set it back up. Chase has tried 3 times to fix multi-auth on my account. I still have to call and perform two voice auths every time I want to login. I think Chase's website is trying to set a 3rd party cookie and that fails due to browser settings/ad blocker.

It powers the trajectory lines for the moon and Orion. There's also telemetry data from the Orion that gives live actual/measures location and orientation information. It's a separate feed that gets pulled from a NASA GCS bucket. Details about both are in the readme.

The @osuosl@fosstodon.org asked for help with funding to keep services going. They power hundreds of open source projects (@openstreetmap@en.osm.town, CensusReporter, Debian, Sqlite, etc.) by providing free or low-cost co-location, VMs, storage, distributed mirroring, and more. They give experience to students at OSU, who help maintain the hardware and systems we all rely on.

They are a vital piece of the open source world, and need some ideas for funding. If something comes to mind, reach out and I will pass it along.
