@fosstodon I would expect that to have the same security implications like someone I know with an insecure email provider. Yes, that might enable bad actors to impersonate my mate, but that does not exposes me to an immediate threat. Overall, the communication by Fosstodon reminds me a lot of corperate business language. :/ Monitoring the issue for month to arrive at a 72h notice makes it even more questionable. Ever since the start of the Industrial Revolution, the goal has been to deskill labour, scale up production, lower the wages of the people working in said production, making fewer people ever so much richer.

There is lot to be criticized about capitalism, but this sounds like before it, people were better skilled, had higher wages and did not work for rich/royal people. That would be news to me, but I am willing to learn.

That sounds like hurt feelings to me. And who woulnd't feel at least a bit dis-respected when people talk bad about something you studied for years. So everyone should avoid this kind of talking-down other peoples studies. Anyway, I wonder about a different part:

@dalias @Iwillyeah @fosstodon I second that. In the end it is very hard to judge the "correct" time frame. Especially, because there is no official reason given beyond "neglected server". The reasons listed in this thread revolve around: 'The server is un-moderated for several month or even years'. Okay that is bad - but why such a 72h hurry? If this problem is going on for such a long time - some more weeks won't kill us.

@antfu I am wondering about the playground. Is actually a playground - so I can edit text an toggle between both states or is it "just" a showcase? Because for me it behaves like the latter. Toggle always goes back to the default content and I cannot define my own states/text. Is this expected?

@antfu This looks very cool! I wished for something like this when I wanted to explain to my brother how a .filter function (which he did not know) is similar to a for loop (which he knows). Great work and thanks for sharing.
