Sculpt OS 26.04 lays all building blocks of the operating system into the hands of the user and, thus, invites the user to explore, customize, and restructure the system architecture on the fly. All drivers have been updated to Linux 6.18 to support recent Intel-PC hardware incl. a USB networking option that is now offered by default. Software-wise, Sculpt now provides Qt6 along with the Chromium-based Falkon browser and an experimental version of the native Goa SDK.

Wir sehen uns, oder?
Today, we released #Genode 26.02, which most prominently replaces XML with the custom-designed HID configuration format. Also, we completed the first half of our project's migration from GitHub to Codeberg, updated DDE-Linux-based protocol stacks to version kernel 6.18, and further cultivated the genode-world repository as designated place for ported third-party software. Further, we added new input-processing capabilities and continued our improvements of the Goa SDK.
The #Genode Road Map for 2026 aspires to build bridges. Bridges to other open-source projects. Bridges to a variety of programming languages. Bridges to new user demographies. Bridges for the interoperability of applications.
