Interesting looking hero role playing game. Modest goal but could use a boost to reach the end. I am definitely backing, level TBD.

It's been a very long time since I was playing the Marvel Roleplaying Game in high school but I kind of miss that kind of game.

I would love to be at #Balticon right now. Sadly, once the kid got into middle and high school going on that trip for Memorial day weekend got pretty difficult. It's always a stretch considering that we usually go to #Heroescon which is 2 or 3 weeks later.

Maybe I will get back in a few years after the kid has graduated high school. I've had a fun time every time I've been.

@GramrgednAngel@beige.party I read a big 5 published fantasy books set in that generic medievaloid time period. Within the first few paragraphs there was a mention of twins born "7 minutes apart". How would anyone in a medieval setting even have the concept of 7 minutes as opposed to 6 or 8? That warned me, don't expect this writer to have put much thought into this. Editors either.

@lmk @bruces There were sensible parts, like 100% automated test coverage. I also had an XP practitioner tell me he knew at a glance a code file was bad because it had comments in it. "If it were properly written, it would be self-documenting and wouldn't need comments!" That's the day I knew XP was not for me.

@bruces I lived through the eXtreme Programming era. It was just like faith healing. If you tried it and it worked, hooray for you as better and more moral than those other losers. If it didn't work for you it was because you did it wrong. These were the only possible outcomes. Agile is just XP without foam on its lips.

@ouropinions I really loved this episode. My first convention was the Atlanta Fantasy Fair, kind of the spiritual predecessor to Dragon*Con. The first one my dad decided in true dad fashion to avoid getting a hotel so we commuted from Augusta GA, a 2.5 hour drive each way for 3 days. The next year was right before I started college at Ga Tech down the road, my first time on my own with friends in a hotel. Lots of great times in that era!
